Raja Birbal. Din-i-llahi was a syncretic religion propounded by the Mughal emperor Akbar.Members of the religion were handpicked by Akbar according to their devotion to him.In the "Ain-i-Akbari" it is mentioned that Birbal was one of the few people other than Akbar who were its followers, besides being the only Hindu.The prominent members of the Din-i-Ilahi were Faizi, Birbal and Abul Fazl. |
