Hitakarini Samajam was founded by great reformer Kandukuri Veeresalingam Pantulu on December 15, 1905 to achieve his ideal of social reform.

Kandukuri Veeresalingam Pantulu was a social reformer, writer of Andhra Pradesh. He is the Father of renaissance movement in telugu.
